The Cup That Goes Outside

Yes. The steel core takes direct heat from a camp stove or a fire. The handle gets hot too, so lift it with a cloth.
How much does it hold?

Will the enamel chip?
Enamel can chip on a hard strike against stone or steel. The extra thick coat here resists ordinary knocks, and a chip is cosmetic rather than a failure.
Is it safe in the dishwasher?
It is. Hand washing keeps the finish brightest, but the enamel and the steel both handle a dishwasher cycle.
Does the rim get too hot to drink from?
