Tavern Outside, Sealed Within

No. It is moulded to look and feel like carved staves, with an insulated vessel inside, which is why it can go in water and never swells or leaks.
How long does it hold a cold drink?
The double wall keeps a poured beer cold for several hours indoors, and it will not sweat onto the table the whole time.
Can I use it for hot drinks?
You can. Insulation works in both directions, so mulled cider or coffee stays hot just as long as beer stays cold.
Should I keep it in the freezer?
No need. The insulated wall does the work, and chilling an insulated mug changes very little once a drink is poured.
How do I clean it?
Warm water and a bottle brush. Hand washing protects the carved texture, and the mug never needs oiling the way real wood would.
